History
West Danby Chapel has a rich history.
Originally built in 1870 as a United Methodist Church, the West Danby Chapel was last used as a church in 1998. Since then it was sold to the current owners, Jim and Toni Iacovelli of Ithaca, NY. West Danby Chapel is managed and operated by Sally Regoord.
The new owners lovingly and painstakingly refurbished the entire structure from top to bottom, inside and out. The building now features beautiful hardwood floors and new ceilings.
Many of the original features have been retained such as the original pulpit, several original chairs and a pew.
Behind the church, three-tiers of wooden porches were added as well as ramps for wheelchair and stroller access.
